The products that usually constitute the greatest share of a residential electric bill are those devices and appliances than run throughout the day, such as refrigerators, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners. This is an ENERGY STAR qualified air cleaner, meaning it is 35 percent more energy-efficient than conventional room air cleaners. It also has one of the highest clean air delivery rates (CADR) in the industry, quickly eliminating dust, tobacco smoke, pollen, hair sprays, pet dander, and other airborne pollutants.

The C-90B air cleaner uses a four-step process to filter particulates. First, air passes through a pre-filter in the rear of the unit that catches larger particulates. The air cleaner then electrically charges the remaining particles, which are attracted to, and adhere to, internal collector plates. Finally, an activated carbon filter will remove common odors and fumes as the filtered air is circulated back into the room.

Because the only filter needing to be periodically replaced is the carbon filter (2 to 4 times per year), in addition to the savings associated with lower electricity costs this air cleaner means you'll also avoid expensive HEPA filter replacement costs common with many other brands of air filters.

The air cleaner features an indicator lamp to show the unit is operating properly, a safety switch that will automatically turn the air cleaner off when the access cover is removed, a self-regulating power supply, and a three-speed fan. When operating the air cleaner will consume no more than 90 watts of electricity. This electronic air cleaner is suggested for rooms up to 506 square feet.
